"Since I started attending the Academy, my marks in school and confidence in class have improved. I have been taught new techniques to help me understand topics that I once struggled with. Mostly, I come here for help in Math, but when I have a problem in Physics or Chemistry the tutors are more than willing to give me a hand. I have been very happy with my experiences here at the Academy, it has been time I value."

"I would like to express my gratitude to the Academy. Every Saturday morning, I actually look forward to attending the Academy to work on Math.

Before I began my studies with the Academy, I disliked Math a great deal, and my grade 11 Math class was not the best. I knew there was definite room for improvement, but I just could not push myself enough to reach my goal when it came to tests and assignments.

After many sessions with the tutors at the Academy, I began to feel differently about Math. Since I began at the Academy, I have managed to pull my mark up by 20% and achieved a mark of 83% on my mid-term examination, a mark I thought I was not capable of getting on an exam, especially in Math.

I now look at Math in a whole different way and I am not at all self conscious about answering questions or putting solutions on the board for the class when I am asked to do so. I no longer have big problems with my homework at night and do not mind the extra work I am given by my tutors.

Now I get the satisfaction of telling everyone, especially my parents, that I am doing well in Math and no longer have difficulty that I had at the beginning of my grade 11 year."

"I would like to thank the Academy for the help you have provided me throughout my time here. With the combined hard work of my tutors and myself I was able to continue to better my mark in Math and achieve my goals.

I first came to the Academy last year hoping to raise my Math mark and not really knowing what to expect. To me, my biggest problem was not asking questions. Because of the setup and friendly atmosphere, I was able to learn to ask questions about things I did not know and feel comfortable doing so. I now see that the only way to get ahead is to ask questions and not being able to do that holds many students back. It was also tremendously helpful to have a variety of resources to help me with any queries I had. Not only did I have the aid of tutors but also various workbooks, worksheets, notes, and homework assignments to help me. This year I especially appreciate being able to get help preparing for the Provincial exam. I was able to fully understand what I was learning throughout the year and apply it in my exam prep. The Academy provided me with the opportunity to excel and enjoy Math at the same time.

Next year I will be attending Simon Fraser University. I am very proud to say that I was admitted through early admission using my Math mark as part of my average. I did not think I would be able to do that but because of hard work on the part of the Academy and myself I was. Once again thank you and all the best."

"I joined the Academy last September of 1996, for tutoring in my Math and Physics course. In the fall term, I studied grade 12 Math. With the help of my tutors, I received a final grade of 95%.

Currently, I am taking grade 12 Physics again and the tutors are able to help me with any problems I have in the course. To date, I have received perfect scores on all my tests and have a midterm average 100%. I wouldn't be able to achieve such high scores without the help of the tutors. Both my Math and Physics skills have excelled tremendously since going to the Academy.

The staff at the Academy has been wonderful. The Academy is very organized and it runs with efficiency, expertise and excellence. The staff are all very courteous, friendly, and helpful to all the students. Furthermore, they provide a relaxing environment in which to study.

Although I will be completing my tutorials at the end of May, I know I will not forget what the tutors have taught me over the past six months.
