At the Academy for Mathematics & Science, we assist a wide variety of students, including those who want to maintain good grades, those who need a challenging enrichment program and those who are experiencing problems with school work. By helping these students excel as learners, the Academy ensures individuals gain confidence and skills to succeed at home, at school and in their future careers.

To prepare students for everyday challenges, it is essential that problem areas receive prompt attention. If students do not understand basic concepts in early grades, those gaps quickly widen, and students may lose interest or confidence in their abilities. As a result, they may get further behind. At the Academy we fill these gaps to ensure that students understand and enjoy their studies.

The Academy for Mathematics & Science is an internationally proven tutorial and enrichment program, with over 25 years of experience in assisting students with Mathematics, Science and Language Arts (English). There are currently over 50 centres operating throughout Canada and the United States.

The Academy for Mathematics & Science uses a "building block" learning technique. As one topic builds on the next, students must master each topic learned before continuing. This ensures that students understand 100 per cent of each concept taught.

Upon entering the Academy, students complete a skill level evaluation to determine their strengths and problem areas. Individualized programs are then developed to meet the needs of each student.

At the Academy, students work at their own pace in a supportive, understanding environment. This strategy reduces peer pressure and other learning barriers and helps students find the right focus to achieve their academic goals.

Students at the Academy learn by using three senses: reading, writing and listening. At individual workstations, students use audio and visual material suited to their level. Written worksheets reinforce lessons to help ensure students have gained a complete understanding of the lesson before moving on.

All work is done under the supervision of Academy tutors, who are certified teachers or have a university background in Mathematics, Science and English. The tutors assist students with any questions and provide further instruction to ensure understanding.

The Academy for Mathematics & Science proudly announces that we are able to offer Ontario High School Credits through our academic partnership with Canada E-School.

Canada E-School (CES) is an Internet High School that is accredited by the Ministry of Education in Ontario, Canada.

CES is designed to provide high school education for many types of students including:

	Students that require a course that their own local high school is not offering in a particular semester
	Those who are pursuing careers in professional athletics or arts and must travel a great deal during the school year
	Students with health related issues that prevent them from attending a traditional high school
	Mature students who are working full time and do not wish to attend night school
	Students who are seeking entry into a college or university program and are missing a necessary prerequisite
	International students seeking Canadian education
